In 1990, McLanahan Corporation created a Scholarship Program to provide financial assistance to the children of McLanahan Corporation employees attending accredited colleges, universities or trade schools.
This award is traditionally granted April of every year.
An independent panel of local educators reviews the applications and interviews the applicants in order to select the recipients. Each recipient receives a one-time grant of $2,500 to be used toward his/her education.
2010 Award Winners Announced - Cody Snyder & Kaitlyn Moyer
Cody Snyder, son of Dan Snyder of the Hollidaysburg Facility. Cody plans to attend the Appalachian Bible College in the fall and will be enrolled in the Pastoral Program in the hopes of one day becoming a Church Pastor.
Kaitlyn Moyer, daughter of Tom Moyer of the Hollidaysburg Facility. Kaitlyn is planning to attend Penn State in the fall and is considering a career in the chiropractic field.
